James's background is in stage combat and the Modern Army Combatives Program (MACP). James focuses on Longsword and has been an instructor since the founding of Men At Arms. James believes that through competition, practitioners can stress test what they have learned and won Bronze in his 2nd tournament. James is an strong believer in encouraging and recognizing his students at every opportunity!
A fencing instructor for the West Shore YMCA and Shippensburg University, Nickolys Hinton runs the Italian Dagger Program for Men At Arms Martial Arts. Nickolys is a Gold Medal winner in Olympic Fencing and has won numerous accolades throughout his career. Nickolys brings passion to his instruction and create a fun, hands on training environment designed to bring success to his students!
The most experienced Longsword practionner at Men At Arms Martial Arts, Michael Flynn is a published author on Longsword for Beginners. Michael has been studying Longsword for over 9 years, and was a co founder of one the largest HEMA Clubs in Florida. His passion for HEMA is only surpassed by the quality of his instruction and knowledge on the subject matter. Combining his passion for Medieval history with his dedication to research of historical sources, Michael brings his scholarly talents in developing course content that is not only in depth but fun and enjoyable for students to learn and develop with.
